From Friday October 26 through to Sunday October 28, 2018, Kawajima Harvest Fair will be held at Marugoto Nippon in Asakusa, delivering the charm of the town of Kawajima, Saitama Prefecture.
Located about 45 km from Tokyo and surrounded by rivers on all four sides, Kawajima is a town with a population of about 20,000 that still thrives within a great natural environment. It boasts a beautiful natural environment with blossoms in all four seasons, and local resources such as agricultural products spawned by the blessings of nature, such as the town’s abundant water and greenery.

■ Outline of Kawajima Harvest Fair
(1) Kawajima food booths
There will be food booths during the event period, selling Kawajima’s foods and offering opportunities for you to taste and buy famous products from popular stores and restaurants, from agricultural products such as the famous figs and Kawagoe Clan Cellar Rice, to confections and ramen.

(2) A confectionery class given by confection researcher marimo (reservations only)
At the confectionery class, popular confectionery researcher marimo will show you her original recipe with figs from Kawajima. She will also show fancy arrangements and tips for taking good snapshots for photogenic social media posts.

(3) Display of Kawajima’s certified KJ Brand products
There will be a display of 21 excellent products from Kawajima, crowned with a KJ (Kawajima) Brand certification. KJ Brand is a collective name granted to charming local resources and products that: (1) are only available in Kawajima that reflect its uniqueness, (2) are high-quality, safe and secure products and resources, and (3) improve the town’s image.

(4) Restaurant fair held at the same time, with dishes from Kawajima
You will find a restaurant fair on the third floor of the building, at Café M/N, offering original dishes featuring Kawajima’s local food. Why not enjoy beautifully arranged dishes from Kawajima?
